Our first yam daisy

Thanks to the great helpers last weekend for finding the right places on the Wilding site for the threatened species that we are planting under our Federal grant.

And after several years of trying different ways to get Murnong to grow in our soils, the plant that we introduced to the ground on the Wilding site last year has produced new shoots this season. That makes it our first yam daisy (Microseris walteri) in the soil, but hopefully, not our last.

We will use the same technique this year and give the responsibility again to Denis Hurley and his intuition for the right way to handle it and the right place to put it.
