Fish release in Forest Creek

NCCMA released some pygmy perch into the waterhole at the Forest Creek footbridge on Friday 1st September. It’s great to think that the creek is healthy enough to support a fish population. Some attendees took a symbolic turn at the dispensing. See photos below.

Planting Working Bee at Forest Creek (IFF site) Sunday 23rd November 2025 at 9:30am
This week we are looking after our plantings on Forest Creek.
Our planting at this site is doing well - the plants are growing, BUT so are the weeds.
So come along and do some weeding or brush-cutting to reduce the competition and help them survive.

drive over Forest Creek just near the old Best Motors, then take the first left on the un-named road (almost opposite McGrath St), follow that around to the right and up the hill, park on the grass there, and walk down the hill.
Entrance E4 is not recommended; the water is flowing in the creek and gumboots would be needed.

Bring a planting tool (or use one of ours), wear gloves and stout footwear, and dress for the weather on the day.
